You may find that no matter how many Windows Live ID accounts you link, you can never change the first ID that you activated the phone with. This ID is used to keep track of Marketplace purposes etc. If for some reason you want to change the main ID(to avoid getting XBL bans etc), the only official way would be to go to settings and reset the phone, which will wipe ALL data and restart the whole activation process.
